I met my boyfriend again on December 20th, 2007, in Malta. It was a beautiful moment: seeing the love of my life again after seven long months… I felt like a fenix: I died and then I was reborn again. Having a long distance relationship is not easy at all, but you know… one always does her/his best ![]()
The first two weeks were a bit strange, though. It was like we’d lost the “habit” to stay together, to handle things together, to LIVE together. Mark was being a bit too cold, looked like he cared more of his new dog than me, and I felt lonely most of the time; then, I was overreacting too (I felt jealous of the dog! LOL), and misunderstanding my boyfriend’s actions and words. We had fights, we discussed, we talked… but then it went better
He became closer and I got used to his dog too. Got affectionate to her, Honey, and I miss her too now. My little dog friend ^^ It’s even because I never had a dog, you know… and I felt her like a menace when there was no need to. I’ve been childish… Sorry, Mark, about it. If you’re reading this, know that I’m sorry
And love you!
Anyways, besides the “love” time, I also had a very nice “friendship” time ^^ I met Afef again. The first time we visited St. John’s Cathedral, a beautiful church located in Valletta. It has a lot of paintings and sculptures, and a painted floor, and I was delighted while listening to the tour guide *_* So much history in just one building! Totally amazing!

A view of the inside of the cathedral
Then, Afef and I went to have some shopping and then lunch in a nice restaurant. I had a yummy Salmon Pizza ;9 while Afef had some Curry Rice. Too bad I can eat Salmon Pizza only in Malta *sigh* I can’t find any in Italy, or at least not in my town.
The last week spent with mark was awesome
No more serious fights (just little stupid stuff, but no biggie), loads of love and attentions, activities together, plans for the future and little projects of our own
Yeah, Mark! We make a GREAT TEAM! We watched “Transformers The Movie 2007” and “Hinokio” together, played PS3 together (even if I suck at games ^^”). And the thing I loved most, of course, were his cuddles *__* God only knows how much I missed them, during all those months!
The second time I met Afef was on January 5th, a saturday. We couldn’t do a lot of stuff that day though, because she wasn’t feeling well and I was left with only €7.50 (Malta changed its currency to Euro on January 1st
easier for me of course, but I know the troubles the poor Maltese people are living right now *sigh* was the same for Italy when we changed from Lire to Euro) and even though my granny had sent me the goodness of €132, I couldn’t find an office to pick them up using MoneyGram, so… yeah, it sucked very much ^^” And poor Afef had to pay for lunch again ;__; *sigh* But no matter that, we had loads of fun ^^
For January 6th, Afef and I organized one of the most fantastic lunches in the history of our friendship X3 We went to eat at Nan Yuan, a cantonese restaurant in Valletta Waterfront together with our boyfriends!!!
It was so cool, all the four of us sitting around the table, chit chatting and eating, conversations made in English, Maltese and Italian X3 Beautiful! It’s a moment I will never forget… After lunch, we left the restaurant and took some photos in front of the port. First Afef and me, and then me and Mark
Hehe.

ILY, Afef!
I stayed in Malta ’till January 7th, then I left on January 8th in the early afternoon
The Air Malta plane took me back to my homeland, Italy.
Will see you again in 6 months and half, honey… a heck lot of time… But I love you! And you love me, and our love will survive the distance again ^^ See you soon, sweetheart!
