The last day of November is here, and that means many things:
- 1) My dad was operated and is now out of danger. I freaked out for him, got depressed… but he is now alright, and I love him even more ♥
- 2) I worked on my NaNoWriMo, and I reached 30,205 words. No, not enough to win. But I won a draft that would not be here if I hadn’t tried.
That’s winning, to me!
- 3) My first exam for the new academic year, Operations Research, will take place before Christmas holidays start. I hope I’m going to pass, and that it won’t give me too much headache.
- 4) Simone and I celebrated our 8th Monthsary. ♥ ^-^
November 2010 was a month of fear and hope to me. What was it to you?
Just because I like to explore little cultural objects, perhaps exotic ones, I decided to share some thoughts with you here on Sweet-Loves.net. First thing to say is that I came across a strange word, “hookah“, a few days ago, and I got curious about it. I was visiting Wikipedia in regards of tobacco and other smoking herbs, for the simple curiosity of learning more about it, and to try and understand why most people seem to love smoking to an extent. Well, I came across a website that sells hookah pipes and I realized it was a kind of exotic pipe (it comes from India) used to smoke shisha tobacco. There is also another kind of shisha pipe from what I learned on ShishaPipes.eu, and both the pipe and the tobacco are becoming widespread all over North America and Europe, as well as Australia. From what I read on Wikipedia, smoking hookah is a lot safer than doing tobacco, however other studies contrast that hypothesis and say it might put people at risk of CEA level increase or cancer. I guess there are safer versions around; I haven’t explored these websites in their whole contents, but people have been smoking these pipes for centuries.
In the end, I’m not sure whether a “safe” tobacco does exist, however it’s always better to moderate the quantity of smoke we ingest, and if we can choose, it’s always best to choose more moderate smoking methods, like a hookah indeed. Smoke is like alcohol, it can cause serious harm if abused.
Right now, I’m about to go to sleep. I hope to come around soon, because this domain needs some serious update, pages to be uploaded and link exchanges to get in touch with. I’m getting behind with the NaNoWriMo and personal issues getting in the way. Oh well. See you soon sweethearts. ^_^
