There’s a big contest organized by one of my favourite parenting sites, ParentsConnect.com, for all parents to get a chance to win $1,000 if you are a US citizen. :D I just installed the contest widget here on my sidebar for all of my friends to see. It would be nice if you could spread the word about it, because this is a chance for all of us parents to get good money to help raise our children. ^^ Also, the widget itself is very useful, because it lists fun activities for parents and kids all over the US, and there are daily list of course. :) You can try it out on my sidebar if you like.

You know, I’m very supportive of this kind of initiatives. We need more generousity and help to families like that. Not just for the money, but also for fun and educational activities that bring families together and make them grow. :) I hope there will be something like this here in Italy too, sometimes. Families need support and care, not being the first victims of consumerism. Our society needs a change, and perhaps these little initiative are a hint that that change is happening already. ^^ Let’s pray for it.

Since the news of the H1N1 virus spread out, I had to abandon every plan to go see my kids. :( Either in the US, or in Germany, or Canada… Anywhere.

I really hope I’ll get to meet some of them in a few years. One thing is meeting in chat, and one thing is hugging for real. Holding them even just once would make the difference. It would enforce our loving bond.

I’m praying that this virus will be fought and killed soon, so that people would stop getting sick, and.. that travelling could become safe again. Because I miss my children. :(

What is a mother? Who shall answer this? A mother is a font and spring of life, A mother is a forest in whose heart Lies hid a secret ancient as the hills, For men to claim and take its wealth away; And like the forest shall her wealth renew And give, and give again, that men may live.
